August 2009 
The attenders begin work to achieve a John Muir Award - an environmental award scheme - discover, explore, conserve & share.
A bingo afternoon was orgainised by KC to fund raise and was well supported by the community.
Attenders have began tuition at Skye & Wester Ross College for SVQ`s in a number of areas in a programme - Independent Living Skills.
 
September 2009
John Muir Award has involved visits including a ruined village in Luib and the site of the Battle of Braes.
Filming has taken place of the attenders working in the Nice Cafe for an short DVD for entry to an amateur gaelic media competition.
The Community Nurse for Learning Disabilities has commenced a Healthy Living Programme.
 
October 2009
The attenders are assessed by a S&WR College assessor on a Cafe day to gain an SVQ in Food & Drink Level 1 - ongoing.
An "Ideas Day" was held in Kyleakin Hall and attenders & staff took part and had a display of our service at KC.
A four day residential in Torrin was organised in regard to the John Muir Award. Activities included snorkelling, caving, tree planting, canoeing, art and Big Sister Diary. This was a very successful week and enjoyed by all.
John Muir Award visits - Dianamite factor and heritage dept in Staffin and work on our display map.
 
 
November 2009
Staff attended a First Aid refresher course.
Care Commission carried out an inspection. We received a good report and have retained our "Grade 5 - Very Good".
Attenders entered the Indoor Bowling Championships in Inverness  and one attenders reached the semi-finals.  Well done to all who took part.

December 2009
Attenders took part in orienteering in Balmacara. Nobody got lost!
All attenders continue their tuition in IT skills with Skye & Wester Ross College.
Indoor bowling and map work for John Muir Award.
Trip to Inverness for 10 pin bowling.
Kyleakin Connections close on Friday 18th December 2009 for the Christmas Holidays.
 
January/February 2010
Our short DVD - Cafe Snog - made the short list at the Film G Awards. Attenders and staff went to the ceremony at Eden Court but unfortunately we did not win.
The John Muir Award work is almost completed.
We have decided to perform a pantomime in the autumn - Snow White & the Eight Dwarfs!
 
March 2010
Birds of Paradise Theatre group held a workshop at Kyleakin Connections which was thoroughly enjoyed by all. We went to see their performance at Dornie.
A Presentation Day was held where family and friends were invited to share the attenders work and achievements through a slide show, power point presentation and displays. All attenders were presented with their certificates - John Muir Explorer Award and SVQ in IT Skills by Alan MacRae, Lib Dem representative.
 
April 2010
Outdoor activities - Viking Centre and walking.
Panto rehearsals have begun.
Enjoyed a weeks holiday.
 
May 2010
A working party from Portree and Inverness came to KC to tidy up our Wildlife Garden. This was organised in partnership with Health & Happieness and People First. The group enjoyed a lunch at the Nice Cafe.
Outdoor activities - archery and canoeing.
Visited the Red Cross shop in Kyle and two attenders with support from staff, volunteered and worked in their shop.
Margaret Walker, ABE Tutor has retired after 20 years service.
